What pro-lifers need to realize is that Rudy Giuliani, as an openly pro-abortion candidate, is not the only potential Republican nominee that Republicans for Choice would consider a victory for their cause. Any "mixed choice" candidate would fit well into their covert strategic plan.
Here is what they say:
We must lay the groundwork to make sure that a pro-choice or mixed-choice moderate is on the ticket for 2008. As Senator Specter and others have told us, nothing will change with the GOP until we do that. It is the surest way to take back the Party. [Emphasis added]
Read here what Republicans for Choice did reveal about their covert plans. We can only speculate what they "dare not share".
I suspect that their operatives, who extend into every corner of local and national Republican politics, media, and pollsters are working to divide the pro-life vote among the many Republican candidates, helping to prop one candidate up at a time as a conservative who can potentially emerge into the top tier. One week, it's Romney; the next, it's Thompson; and then Huckabee. Never Tancredo, Hunter or Paul because they can deal with Thompson or Huckabee. As long as they can keep us divided, Rudy Giuliani can emerge as the nominee.
Update: Once Giuliani lost Florida, Republicans for Choice declared John McCain as their Second Choice. Mission Accomplished.
We know in the end, Life will triumph over Death. Make sure you're on the rights side.
