Washington State May Play Key Role in Presidential Primary

Big_washington_red_blueWashington Secretary of State, Sam Reed is exploring the idea of moving up the presidential primary to an earlier date than it's penciled in one of May 27, 2008.

"It's a very important step for the state of Washington to let the people directly participate in nominating the president of the United States," he said.

By Feb. 6, it could be over. By then Democrats in 13 states and Republicans in 15 states will have voted in caucuses and primaries. California and Texas may move up the dates of their primaries to join February's fray.

This could get interesting.  There was a rumor about this move being in the works almost a year ago, that I heard from an out of state pro-life leader.   Along with that news, was reported that John McCain's campaign was already setting up in the state of Washington.  Do you think Sam Reed might be on the John McCain team?
